Background

The Society was formed in 1981 under the leadership of Dr. WEN Hsiang Lai who was our founding president. The Society then hosted the Asian Australasian Congress of Neurological Surgery 1983 in Hong Kong. In 1996, we have joined the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies as a member. Now we have 70 members. We are actively involved in the development of neurosurgery and training of young neurosurgeons in Hong Kong.
