The Society was formed in 1981 under the leadership of Dr. WEN Hsiang Lai who was our founding president. The Society then hosted the Asian Australasian Congress of Neurological Surgery 1983 in Hong Kong. In 1996, we have joined the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies as a member. We are actively involved in the development of neurosurgery and training of young neurosurgeons in Hong Kong.
OUR OBJECTIVES

To advance the knowledge and practice of Neurosurgery as a science.

To create an awareness of the prevalence of Neurosurgical disorders and to improve the standard of Neurosurgical diagnosis and treatment.

To encourage, develop or assist in the development of research in Neurosurgery, Neurology and the Neurosurgical science and in the field of Applied Neurology.
